Video 1.

Remodeling cell–cell junctions show perpendicular orientation of VE-cadherin. Time-lapse recording of HUVECs expressing VE-cadherin–GFP. Perpendicularly oriented VE-cadherin areas come and go as cells seem to pull on their shared junctions. Enlargements of remodeling junctions correspond to the boxed areas. Images were acquired by time-lapse wide-field microscopy (Eclipse Ti; Nikon) using a 20× 0.75 NA dry objective lens. Frames were taken every minute for 4 h.
